Pujols in Cards lineup today, batting 4th

Albert Pujols will serve as the designated hitter and bat cleanup in the order at 12:05 PM CT in West Palm Beach.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -- Albert Pujols didn't waste much time.

The 3-time MVP, recently signed to a one-year, $2.5 million contract on Monday, was in the lineup Wednesday morning for the Cardinals' 12:05 PM CT game in West Palm Beach, Fla., against the Washington Nationals.

Nolan Arenado is out of the lineup getting a mole removed from near his right eyebrow, as first reported by ESPN's Marly Rivera. Arenado is expected to be back Thursday after the simple procedure.
