Are we doing the right thing by resuming sports with the reality of many unknowns surrounding Covid-19? The guys on Dukes & Bell talked about if we’re rushing to resume sports.
Carl asked should we even be restarting sports.
“Should our leagues be happening at all?” Dukes asked. “When we talk about the delusion we have that everything is going to be fine in the fall, it’s not, cases are up. Cases, not deaths. How are we going to play and should we be playing knowing this is what we are facing? The idea that we’re going to resume sports and that nobody is going to get sick, nobody is going to test positive, the question is how many and how does it affect sports and should we even be doing this.”
Mike talked about how it could be handled on college campuses.
“How are you going to have these guys like gerbils in habitrail and they can’t leave?” Bell asked. “I just think with college football because there’s so many parts, two ways to look at it. It’s either going to be so impossible because you’re going to be constantly getting positives with all the interaction of students on a campus. Or are you going to say it’s callous to some people and those that don’t want to participate don’t and you treat it like any other injury.”
