John Fricke and Hugh Douglas broke down the Atlanta Braves at New York Mets series over the weekend.
“Luke Jackson has had so nice moments but my thing is you don’t have one guy that you can always count on. If you are going to be a World Series contender you have to have more of a sure thing at closer,” said Fricke.
“Will Smith is a name they mentioned on the broadcast quite a bit yesterday so that could potentially happen,” responded Douglas.
“This is a World Series caliber lineup,” said Fricke.
“I think this is where the Braves wanted to be. They haven’t identified their closer yet. They don’t need any more ifs and maybes. They need a sure thing there,” said Douglas.
Fricke went on to talk about how the Braves needed a number of things to break their way in order to be where they are at this point in the season.
