A new proposal came out from the MLB Owners and it was centered around a massive sliding scale for payments, and it especially hits the superstars hard.
"There's something to build on here if you can work in some deferred payments. It's so hard to see the players accepting something like this, but if this may be the baseline they can start off with and then receive some more payments down the line then maybe that's something you can work out."
