NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney joined Rick and John on The Midday Show Thursday to talk about the Daytona 500 and the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Blaney kicked the interview off talking about the massive pile-up at Daytona that took him out of the race, but he was not salty about it. He called it racing and admitted it happens. Blaney told us there is no strategy to avoid wrecks because sometimes wrecks happen and there is nothing you can do or even get out of the way.
Ryan told us if he were CEO for a day in NASCAR he would lower ticket prices for fans at all the tracks to get more people to come out and watch. He told us he is attempting to break a world record for the most selfies in less than five minutes.
He isn’t a fan of selfies but he is willing to participate and see if they can break the record. They move to this weekend and Ryan likes Atlanta Motor Speedway because its old and worn out and the drives can slide their cars around the track.
