After the UGA players looked foolish with their College Football Playoff tweets, Rick and John debate the question: Is it time for college football coaches to shut down player's social media?

John 100 percent agrees they should. He uses examples of Miami players posting pics with piles of cash on Instagram and another player posting a sex tape on Snapchat. John thinks its at the point where some of the players who cant handle the need to express themselves on social media.

Rick doesn't like any coach telling a player what they can and can't do with their personal life. Clemson players shut down their Twitter, but it's a self-imposed ban, not a Dabo Swinney rule. Rick notes that the winning ways for Clemson picked up when then shut it down.

John says it's also more than just what the players do and say, its the fans who go after the players. How often do you see an adult go after a player when they drop a pass or have a bad game. Banning social media could protect the players from the rabid fans as well. Rick goes back to the money factor and even though the NCAA won't allow players to make money off YouTube, Rick knows that could be a way for the players to make a few extra dollars on the side.

Rick is OK with meeting in the middle. Rick would be OK if the coach says: "We have a big game this week, stay off social media". John gives in and thinks maybe you make an asistant coach in charge of monitoring the teams' accounts.
