Could the Braves tie an All Star Game record set in 2001?

The Atlanta Braves open the season tomorrow and the teams' expectations have never been higher. It's essentially World Series or bust as a group, but what are the individual goals for the stars that make up the team?

Andy and Randy single out a few players and try to determine what they feel would make their individual seasons successful.


On the path to making the playoffs and winning the division comes league-wide recognition via All Star berths, and it's not a stretch to say the Braves could have the most All Stars of any team this season.

The 2001 Seattle Mariners set a modern-era record as 8 players were represented in the All Star game and it's conceivable the Braves could tie or even surpass that.

The obvious Braves that could be in the running to make an All Star appearance are Ronald Acuña Jr., Michael Harris, Austin Riley, Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson, Sean Murphy, Max Fried, and Spencer Strider, but there always could be a surprise or two as well.

With the expectations as high as they are, if the Braves do come close to tying the Mariners record, you have to imagine the team would be performing quite well.
