In advance of the 2023 MLB season, ESPN's panel of MLB columnists ranked their top 100 players in baseball. And while there were EIGHT Braves who made the list, none were in the top 10.
Andy and Randy chat about ESPN's Top 100 Players in baseball list and that despite Ronald Acuña Jr. being outside the top 10, if he does what he's capable of this season, he'll return to the top 10 and possibly the top five.
Before injuring his ACL in 2021 he was in the top five in all of MLB in Home Runs, OPS, and stolen bases. To go along with his top-tier defense, if Acuña does return to form, when ESPN released a 2024 Top 100 players, you can expect him to be higher than 14th.
The Braves came in at the following rankings on the list:
• #14 Ronald Acuña Jr.,
• #18 Austin Riley
• #32 Max Fried
• #41 Michael Harris
• #50 Spencer Strider
• #53 Matt Olson
• #66 Sean Murphy
• #74 Ozzie Albies
