The Atlanta Braves were finally able to win another World Series. It was the first time that had happened since 1995. But, throughout the season, there was a small dark cloud hovering over this team.
It was the fact that their superstar first baseman, Freddie Freeman, was coming into this season without a contract extension. Now, with a labor agreement no longer in place, that little dark cloud has only gotten bigger with all of the speculation about whether or not Freeman will continue wearing a Braves jersey.

In response to the news of Freeman potentially leaving the Braves, Jon Chuckery, decided to send a message to the team.
“He’s the heart and soul for the Braves,” Chuckery said. According to Jon Heyman, the hangup was on the amount of years on the deal. But given what Freeman has done for this organization, Chuckery doesn’t feel that should be a deal-breaker for a player like Freeman.
It would be unfortunate for Braves fans to watch Freeman walk out of the door because Liberty Media didn’t want to add a sixth year to his deal.
