The Atlanta Braves season is far from over, however, while mathematically still able to reach the postseason, between failing to overcome their 0-7 start and suffering injuries to several starting pitchers, the door is all but closed on Atlanta's playoff hopes.

Now with the Braves off for a few days as the 2025 MLB All-Star break is underway, the much needed time off may also give Atlanta's front off time to evaluate their current status and decide if they will choose to be buyers or sellers by the trade deadline and on Monday, 92-9 The Game's Carl Dukes and Mike Bell shared their thoughts on why Ozzie Albies could be at the center of some discussions of player movement.

"He's 28 years old and you're think, dude he should be in his prime. Like Ozzie (Albies) should be killing it right now," Dukes said as he and Bell explored reasons for Atlanta to potentially move on from Albies, who has struggled offensively this season, batting .220 with an .606 OPS along with seven homeruns and 29 RBIs.

"I think this is decision one," Dukes continued, as he noted Albies being in the midst of "the worst season" of his career, gives the Braves reason enough to seriously weigh their options in regards to either cutting or trading Albies, especially off the heels of the MLB Draft in which they selected three shortstops. "Is that a message the Braves are sending?" Dukes added.
