A.J. Terrell's season is off to another strong start, and while he hasn't been quite as lock-down as he was last season, still awaiting his first interception, he did recover a fumble against the 49ers, nearly returning it for a TD, and he's also showed up big in another aspect of the defense.
Former Falcons WR and NFL Analyst Harry Douglas takes a look at A.J. Terrell and the rest of the secondary's ability to be physical when defending the run game.
A lot of teams that you play, the last three teams, are run heavy teams, so you can't have corners that want to be finesse, want to pick their spots to tackle," says Harry Douglas. "You gotta have guys that want to come up and stick their nose and tackle the ball carrier. If you have a corner that loves to play the run support, that buys time to gang tackle. It's very important in a Dean Pees defense."
