Justin Shaffer making a strong impression early in rookie minicamps.

Falcons' sixth round pick and cousin to fellow Falcons' rookie DeAngelo Malone, Justin Shaffer, was one of a few rookies who joined the Dukes & Bell show after their first official practice of rookie minicamp.

Shaffer spoke on how camp has gone so far and how much the coaches have "loved the way" he plays.

The former UGA Bulldog went on to talk about how thankful he was for the opportunity to practice and play in the NFL stating, "I've always been counted out. I was always the kid that was overlooked."

The guys asked Shaffer what the coaches had to say to him after his first practice.

"They said they love the way I play. Don't change my play. Just learn and soak it all in, and get with the vets."

When asked how it felt to play with his cousin on the Falcons after playing together at Cedar Grove High School. Shaffer said, "Its great....We always talked about this growing up....Its a great experience."
