It did not take long for Bijan Robinson to deliver on the hype.
The Atlanta Falcons rookie running back and first-round pick scored his first career touchdown on the first play of the second quarter and it was a beauty.
Quarterback Desmond Ridder connected with Robinson on a screen pass at the 11-yard line where Robinson deked a Panthers defensive back then powered through two more Panthers defenders who tried to sandwich him, creating a clear path to the end zone for the touchdown.
Robinson was the eighth overall pick out of Texas and came to the Falcons with plenty of buzz about what he could bring to Atlanta’s offense.
If highlight reel plays like that are the norm, then it should be awfully fun to watch the Falcons offense this season.
