Falcons face 'fork-in-the-road' game Sunday at Seattle

The Atlanta Falcons are winless so far, searching for the first victory of the year when they face the Seattle Seahawks at 4:25 on Sunday, and and for this team, there could be a big difference between a 1-2 start and an 0-3 open to the season.

John Fricke and Hugh Douglas discuss the different paths the season could take based on the result against Seattle.

"If you don't get this game this weekend, Monday we're going to be talking about is it time to start Desmond Ridder," says Hugh Douglas. "This team, even though the outcome has not been the greatest, they're trending in the right direction and if we're looking at the QB say "should have done a better job", we've seen this story before."

"This is a measuring stick game," declares John Fricke, "if Mariota's not going to get any better than what's the point of playing him. This season is about finding out what you have in Desmond Ridder."

If the Falcons don't grab a victory in Seattle it could be a while before they do, the next four games are against the Browns, Bucs, 49ers, and Bengals, and they could be 0-7 before hosting the Carolina Panthers.
