The Atlanta Falcons technically finished last in the NFC South a year ago at 7-10 despite the Saints and Panthers also finishing with an identical record, and many feel they could be the NFC's next team to go from worst-to-first in their own division.
The Atlanta Falcons added a legit playmaker on offense in the NFL Draft and spent most of their free agency and offseason to retool the defense, and 92.9 the Game Falcons Reporter Joe Patrick thinks they have a good chance to win the division.
"All these playmakers they have. I think you could see an offensive explosion from the team," says Joe Patrick. "I think the Falcons are the favorites to win this division. A lot of times you see teams explode when they become good, has this revolution in their team and the Falcons are primed to be one of those teams."
The Falcons finished last in the NFC South in 2022 due to their record in the division and head-to-head tiebreakers.
