The Atlanta Falcons struggled through another season of disappointment out of tight end Kyle Pitts. After a breakout rookie season in 2021, he has been a virtual non-factor for the Falcons' offense since, and Steak Shapiro has a radical solution for what he thinks should happen.

"You had one of the most notorious bad picks in NFL history when you took Kyle Pitts," Steak Shapiro said about the Falcons' tight end on Monday morning. "The first message that you have to send the Falcons fan base, the first message, is that Kyle Pitts is cut."

For Steak, it's not as much about dollars and cents as it is the message that it would send the team and the fans in Atlanta about what this team will stand for.

"What you at least say about the culture of your football team is, 'We're not going to stand for a guy that is clearly not all in [and] clearly doesn't deliver'," Steak continued. "It was another Kyle Pitts game yesterday with two catches on three targets [and 15 yards]."

On the season, Pitts finished with 602 yards (13th among tight ends) on 47 catches (22nd among tight ends) and four touchdowns (11th among tight ends). He has been consistently criticized by fans for appearing to not give effort on several plays throughout the course of the season.

For a former fourth-overall pick, that level of production should be unacceptable.

The Falcons opted to pick up his fifth year option in April of last year and he will be owed a guaranteed salary of $10.878 million. The move is extremely unlikely to happen, but would it send the right message to fans?
