Should the Falcons have done more at the trade deadline?

The Atlanta Falcons were one of the more active teams at the trade deadline, completing a trio of moves, but some weren't pleased that the team didn't go after one of the bigger pieces that ended up being moved on Tuesday.

92.9 The Game Atlanta Falcons Reporter Joe Patrick recaps the trade deadline and discusses why the Falcons only made some comparatively minor transactions.

To recap the moves the Falcons made ahead of the trade deadline, the team sent Calvin Ridley to the Jaguars for a pair of conditional picks, trade Dean Marlowe to the Bills for a 7th rounder, and brought in Chiefs CB Rashad Fenton for a conditional pick.

Outside of just the Falcons it was a busy trade deadline day on Tuesday and some of the more significant names that were moved may have made sense for the Falcons to target.

• Vikings get TE T.J. Hockenson from the Lions
• Bills get RB Nyheim Hines from the Colts
• Bears get WR Chase Claypool from the Steelers
• Steelers get CB William Jackson from the Commanders
• Dolphins get RB Jeff Wilson from the 49ers
• Dolphins get LB Bradley Chubb from the Broncos

Maybe the Falcons didn't want to part with the draft capital it took to get a pass rusher like Bradley Chubb or an upper-echelon corner like William Jackson, you could say they played it safe, but there's no denying they addressed a need by adding a corner in Fenton.
