Every question Falcons fans have about Arthur Smith an his ability to coach will finally be answered.
That's right. Every question.
This was the discussion from this morning's Steakhouse with Steak and Rusty Mansell about the expectations for the 2023 season. With all the pieces in place on offense, and those pieces being much more talented than the ones here his first two years as coach, we should have all the answers about how good of a coach Arthur is.
This is not to discredit anything that Arthur did his first two years. "I think winning seven games in back-to-back years is something remarkable, but this is a different deal now", Steak said about the reality going forward this season. Gone now, thought, is Julio, Matt Ryan, and a ton of dead cap space. Here now are Kyle Pitts, Drake London, Bijan Robinson, and ever improving, and still very young, offensive line that ran the ball extremely well last year.
Arthur showed a commitment to running the football last year, but the success of this team will hinge on the steps Desmond Ridder takes at quarterback. "If this doesn't work, they'll go back to the drawing board."
