Despite having 151 tackles, five sacks, eight tackles for loss, 16 quarterback hits, three pass deflections, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery Atlanta Falcons linebacker Kaden Elliss was not selected to the Pro Bowl this season. However, Ellis was put on the NFL’s Next Gen Stats’ All-Pro team, and earlier today The Morning Shift used that to explain why Kaden Elliss deserves more national recognition.

“You read down and it’s like okay All-Pro, Pro Bowler, All-Pro, Pro-Bowler, and then you get to Kaden Elliss and you’re like this dude is not getting his due. On a national level the guy is not getting his due, and I think it was nice to kind of see Kaden Elliss mixed in with some these other names, and I’m talking about Chris Jones, you know you’re talking about Minkah Fitzpatrick, some of the other names that are being thrown around next to him, and to see Kaden Elliss up there in a setting like that I don’t think a lot of Falcons fans would see that one coming.” Mike Johnson said.

Mike believes Kaden Elliss is "exceptional" especially in his role as an off the ball linebacker.

If you look at what he does as an off the ball linebacker and his ability to get pressure in that way, and you had to with this defense because you weren’t getting it off the edge a lot of the times or up the middle, he’s just straight out exceptional. I mean he’s just straight out exceptional in what he’s being asked to do. His missed tackle percentage, extremely low in terms of off the ball linebackers, his coverage ability was very very good when you start looking at his Next Gen stats.”

With Kaden Elliss not being named a Pro-Bowler he most likely won’t be named an All-Pro either, but at least the people at Next Gen stats knows he should be both.
