As March Madness is in full effect, Sam Crenshaw & Greg Clarkson had the resident college basketball guru Deshaun Tate from Tate’s Takes Podcast on to talk about the NCAA tournament. Clarkson asked Tate what was his thoughts about the No. 1 team in college basketball, Gonzaga.
Tate thinks that Gonzaga looks undoubtedly good. He even asked Trae Young in a recent post-game interview about Oklahoma’s chances in the NCAA tournament being that they have to play Gonzaga Monday at 2:40 p.m. EST.
While Young likes the Sooners' chances, Tate not so much. Tate thinks Young would be needed if they had a chance of beating Gonzaga to advance in the tournament.
While Tate thinks Gonzaga is a good team, he does see some vulnerability in their team. Tate feels that their bench depth will be a hindrance as they progress in the tournament, but they are well coached by Mark Few.
