The Atlanta Hawks season has finally come to a close. It was an amazing run for the hometown team as they lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in game six of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Now that the season is over, the Hawks have some decisions to make in regards to their roster. Chris Kirschner, of The Athletic, joined Sam Crenshaw on the Jon Chuckery show to talk about the big questions in the offseason for the Hawks. "You have to actually figure out what you're going to do with John Collins, who's a restricted free agent" Kirschner said.
At the beginning of the year Collins intimated that he should be in consideration for a max contract. Travis Schlenk will be charged with figuring out whether or not Collins has lived up to that intimation. Schlenk has always found a good balance between making decisions for the present and the future.
If Collins isn't on the roster for the 2021-22 season, Hawks fans can rest in the fact that he wasn't just a good financial fit going forward.
