The Atlanta Braves have provided fans with one of their best and exciting seasons in franchise history, having set multiple franchise records and can potentially set a couple more. And while on the outside, one may assume that Braves’ players have the record setting season top of mind, during his conversation with 92-9 The Game’s Jon Chuckery on Tuesday night, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Atlanta Braves beat writer, Justin Toscano shared that while players are more than aware of the records they are setting, however they are focused on the bigger picture.
“I think the really special things about this team is that, and every team says it, but I truly get the sense it’s the case here that they just care,” Toscano said, explaining that while they do understand and appreciate the accomplishments they have as a team and individually, however, “they care about the record, they care about winning. They care more about the guy next to them then themselves and their own numbers,” Toscano added.
