Georgia was already playing in the best conference in college football, and now with divisions no longer existing in the South Eastern Conference, the bulldogs conference schedule is not only becoming more difficult starting next year, but the Dawgs could have the toughest schedule in the country in 2024.
Co-Owner and Publisher of Dawgs HQ on On3Sports, Rusty Mansell, joined The Morning Shift earlier today and told Tiffany, Mike, and Beau that the “big dog” of college football has to be ready to play “big boy ball”.
“Georgia having to go to Texas to Alabama, look it’s big boy ball, it’s the SEC, Georgia’s the quote unquote the big dog right now. This Alabama, Georgia game I've said it many times this week when Alabama and Georgia play something is on the line, I mean somebody’s season comes to an end.” Mansell said.
Rusty continued by saying “Two national championships since 2017, SEC Championship games, so when you look at Georgia and Alabama, Georgia kind of caught a break in 2020, even though they lost that game going over there, that wasn’t Bryant-Denny Stadium that was the COVID year, so they’re going to walk into a Bryant-Denny, probably at prime time, and that thang is going to be rockin.”
Opening the season with Clemson, going on the road to take on Texas and Alabama, and playing Florida in Jacksonville are just some of the highlights in Georgia’s 2024 schedule. The Dawgs entire 2024 slate will give the Georgia Football program the opportunity to show just how good they really are.
