After having the weekend off, the Georgia Bulldogs continue preparing for the Alabama Crimson Tide, who will come to Athens also off of a bye week, in what is expected to be the SEC showdown of the week and No. 5 Georgia looking to avenge last year’s 41-34 loss to the Tide, who is ranked No. 17 in the AP Poll.

On Tuesday, 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell were joined by Connor Riley of Dawg Nation to preview Saturday’s matchup and discuss what may be key factors for the Bulldogs to pull off the victory and which players must have some impact. “How many times does Zachariah Branch touch the rock this weekend?” Dukes asked of the transfer wide receiver and the impact he needs to have.

“I think he’s someone where, can you get him the ball 8, 9, 10 times a game,” Riley said as he explained why he believes Georgia needs to prioritize involving Branch in their offense as much as they possibly can. “As you saw against Tennessee, he just needs an ounce of daylight and he can make it really easy to put some points on the board,” Riley said of Branch, who finished with five catches for 69 yards and a touchdown in Georgia’s win over Tennessee.

“He’s sort of become their go to guy in high leverage situations,” Riley continued, adding “I think that this is a guy, especially with the extra week to prepare, Alabama has to know where he is on the field at all points and time,”.
