As the college football regular season starts to wind down the College Football Playoff picture is starting to take shape. However, there are still top 10 matchups yet to be played that will cause big changes across the Playoff landscape, and two of those matchups are Georgia versus Alabama in the SEC Championship game and Michigan versus Ohio State in their annual regular season finale matchup.

It seems like these games will not only punch tickets to the Playoff for the winners, but also crush the Playoff hopes of the loser. However, National College Football writer for CBS, Dennis Dodd, joined The Morning Shift earlier today and explained why that’s not necessarily the case.

It would obviously take a fair amount of outside help to make it happen, but there is a path for the loser of the SEC Championship game and the loser between Michigan and Ohio State to still make the College Football Playoff. Now, it’s not a probable path, but crazier things have happened in College Football.
