The Georgia Bulldogs beat Mississippi State on Saturday night 31-24, and QB J.T. Daniels put on a show in his first action for UGA.

Daniels threw for 401 yards and four TDs, and the offense had a big-play feel that the team hadn't had in previous games.

Folks in Athens were pleased with the win afterwards, but the performance left fans with more questions than answers, specifically one question: What would UGA have done against Alabama and Florida if J.T. Daniels was the quarterback?

It's definitely a fair question as the offense looked and felt different with a play-maker at QB. And it's a decision that Kirby Smart made that unquestionably held the offense back.

UGA was beating Alabama at halftime, so you can't help but wonder what the Bulldogs second half would have looked like with Daniels.

Against Florida the UGA offense jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead and then the offense didn't score again until nearly the end of the third quarter. The offense went six straight drives (not including one before halftime) and 11 of the last 12 drives without scoring.

Would they have been that anemic against a questionable Florida defense if Daniels were under center?

While the Georgia defense has shown itself recently to not be as dominant as they appeared to be early in the season, the offensive issues and the obvious solution that was shown on Saturday night must have everyone wondering why Kirby Smart stuck with Stetson Bennett as long as he did.
