'Matchup proof' Georgia Bulldogs should be national title favorites

Ever since the Georgia Bulldogs lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide in Athens almost two months ago they’ve been playing their best football ever since, and earlier today The Morning Shift explained why they think the Dawgs should be the favorites to win the national championship right now.

“I would pick Georgia right now to win the National Championship. I think they are so well coached, they don’t beat themselves, and they have such a well rounded football team in all aspects. I think they’re matchup proof.” Mike Johnson said

Mike finished his thought by saying “I think that Georgia is matchup proof in a lot of different ways. They do so many things so well, and they are so well coached that I think that they’re going to play with a level of toughness throughout the College Football Playoff with Gunner Stockton that I don’t know that anybody else is going to be able to match in those matchups.”

Georgia is starting to peak at the perfect time. If the Dawgs can stay healthy with the way they play, and the way that their team is built they certainly are set up to make a deep College Football Playoff run this season, and maybe even take home their third national title in five years.
