News of the Quinn trade broke as linebacker Roquan Smith was addressing reporters at Halas Hall. He became emotional when discussing his now-former teammate and soon left the press conference room.
Quinn broke the Bears' single-season sack record in 2021 with 18.5 sacks. He was voted a captain by the Bears this season.
