The Georgia Bulldogs have shown this season they have what it takes to be a national championship contender, but they also have shown plenty of weaknesses as well. Through the first six games it’s still hard to tell who Georgia is as a team, and if they are a legit national title contender. Co-owner and publisher of Dawgs HQ, and co-host of The Steakhouse, Rusty Mansell, explained why everybody will “know who Georgia is" after the Dawgs play Texas on Saturday.
“Two things are going to be answered Saturday," Mansell said. "We’re gonna find out about Texas and then we’re gonna have enough sample size about Georgia to know who they are. Period. Like it’s not gonna be if we fix this or we play like this, you’re gonna know who Georgia is Sunday morning when you wake up because the sample size is there.”
The biggest question most likely answered on Saturday is if Georgia is a national title-contending team or just a College Football Playoff team, and with the expanded 12-team playoff now there is a difference between the two.
