The Georgia Bulldogs are barreling into their second top-ranked, road matchup of the season with their flight out west to welcome the Texas Longhorns into the SEC. The Dawgs have scuffled a bit and have not yet put together a complete performance since their Week 1 dismantling of Clemson.
ESPN's Paul Finebaum said earlier this week that Georgia lacks the "breakaway game talent" that can compete with Texas right now. He continued to say the Longhorns are better built to survive a slow start than the Bulldogs and the matchups clearly favor the home team.
The Steakhouse listened to the comments and reacted to what he had to say.
"To think that Oregon, Ohio State, and Texas are the next level above [Georgia] is ridiculous," Steak Shapiro said. "There is no next level above them. Are they better than them? I don't know. If we played Oregon on a neutral site, do I think that Dan Lanning has an advantage? H*ll no."
The Bulldogs have, admittedly, looked less dominant than they have in previous seasons. From week to week, the offense and defense have traded bad moments and the team has yet to put together a full four quarters of elite football.
Even if they seem to have lost a step, this is still a team fresh off a regular-season winning streak of 42 games. This team has also been responsible for two of the last three national championships and is still in a strong position to make a run at a third.
"Slow your freakin roll if you think Oregon, Ohio State, and Texas are playing at a different level than Georgia," he said. "That's absolutely ridiculous."
