UGA's championship hopes didn't end with Alabama loss

The Georgia Bulldogs remained ranked No. 4 despite the loss last weekend to Alabama. It's expected that the rankings will change once Ohio State plays and makes an impact in the polls.

Even if Georgia falls out of being a top-4 team, they may still be a favorite to reach the College Football Playoff.

Action Network Analyst Chad Millman explains to John and Hugh why UGA no longer controls its own destiny but may still be a good bet to reach the Playoff.

"I don't see a Pac 12 team getting in there, not enough respect," says Millman. "Oklahoma St. is interesting, Georgia has a loss already, but if I were handicapping right now, that fourth team I would favor an undefeated Big 12 team over a one-loss SEC team."

It's going to be tough for Oklahoma St. to run the table, and that starts this weekend when they host Iowa State. And they still have Oklahoma and Texas on their schedule later in the season as well.

One thing that UGA is going to count on is that Clemson will knock Notre Dame out of the playoff discussion, and then UGA can slide in pretty easily as long as there are no unexpected losses along the way. Even another los to Alabama in the SEC Title Game may not eliminate UGA from playoff contention.
