This season will be the first season we will not see divisions in the SouthEastern Conference. With Oklahoma and Texas playing in the SEC now, the conference no longer will have an East and West division, and earlier today The Morning Shift explained why Georgia and one of the SEC newcomers is best suited for the new conference format.
“Georgia and Texas are set up perfectly for this new structure of the SEC because of how deep their rosters are, and it’s easy to keep winning when you have your second and third guys up or almost as equally talented as your starters, they might not be as knowledgeable, but that’s the way Georgia and honestly I think Texas is setup that way too.” Beau Morgan said
Besides maybe the safety position Georgia is very deep, and the same goes for Texas. A big part of football is staying healthy and the war of attrition, and if you can have as much depth as Georgia and Texas do, especially in the trenches where SEC games are won and lost, there is a good chance you will have a lot of success and that’s what Texas and especially Georgia expect have this season.
