With the Atlanta Falcons set to open their season in a few days, when they host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, answers to many questions about how much the team has improved may be answered. While many analyst and fans believe that overall, Atlanta will be a much better team in year three for head coach, Arthur Smith, whether or not the Falcons have any areas of concern that standout was a question posed to NFL Network analyst, Bucky Brooks, by 92-9 The Game’s Jon Chuckery on Tuesday as the two previewed Sunday’s showdown with the Panthers.
“Is there another area that you look at that is a real weakness for the Falcons,” the evening host asked during his conversation with Brooks, who’s response was directed to Atlanta’s pass rush. “In today’s game, you have to have two, maybe three pass rushers to compete at a high level,” Brooks told Chuckery, referencing the Philadelphia Eagles pass rush last season, which resulted in 70 sacks for the team. “The Falcons need to make sure they have multiple guys that can get to the quarterback,” Brooks added.
