David Onyemata, Bud Dupree give reason to be "excited' about the Falcons defense

Wes Durham tells The Steakhouse which Atlanta Falcons' defenders have been key

Despite the results the past couple of weeks, one thing to be positive about when it comes down to the Atlanta Falcons is the performance of their defense and during a conversation with Steak Shapiro and Sandra Golden on The Steakhouse, Falcons play-by-play announcer, Wes Durham told the duo that there is one player in particular that has been playing a pivotal role for the Atlanta defensive front.

“I’ll tell you who the guy who I think has impacted the last two weeks more than anybody else is Onyemata,” Durham said as he told Shapiro and Golden that he believes the defensive lineman has “settled in here a little bit, which is a good thing,” Durham added as he spoke with The Steakhouse about Onyemata, who had seven total tackles to go along with a sack and half against the Jaguars.

As their conversation continued, Durham shared that Onyemata was not alone in giving him a reason to be “excited” about the Atlanta defense, adding Bud Dupree and Jeff Okudah’s  names to the conversation, telling them that he believes Dupree is “playing a lot of football at a high level,” and that it appears that the Falcons’ linebacker and defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen “are speaking the same language,” and as for Okudah, Durham told the Steakhouse he believes the Atlanta cornerback has the “ability to pick up more work load, make things a little better, make us a little tighter in the back end for sure,”.
