Not only are gas prices rising, but people across California with hydrogen-fueled cars are dealing with a shortage.
KNX News’ Karen Adams reported that a supply disruption since February has left more than 60% of the state's 52 hydrogen refueling stations offline. When a station does go online, lines begin to form
She spoke with drivers at the Chevron gas station in Studio City who came to fuel up.
“For about a week now, it’s been no hydrogen,” Glen, a driver, told Adams.
Eunice, another driver, said she’s had to drive around just to fuel up.
“Well, on Monday, I actually filled up in Sherman Oaks. That was the only one that was open,” she said. “I had called. I went to Mission Hills. I called from there, and they told me that they're restarting or resetting or something. I don't know, but they sent me to Sherman Oaks, and that was the only one open, and there was like a long line. There was, I wanna say 12 cars, waiting in the line blocking traffic, and it was crazy.”
