Pirates Invite Four Non-Roster Players To Spring Training

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Pirates announced four non-roster invitees to Spring Training today including pitcher Derek Holland.

Left handed pitcher Robbie Erlin, catcher Andrew Susac and outfielder Charlie Tilson will join Holland in Bradenton.

Erlin has a record of 13-20 and a 4.57 in 106 with the Sand Diego Padres.

Last year, he made 37 appearances with one start going 0-1 with a 5.37 ERA. He was optioned to the minor leagues four times in 2019.

Susac has a .221 career average with 35 RBI in 113 games with San Francisco, Milwaukee and Baltimore.

He started 2019’s Spring Training with the Orioles but was traded to Kansas City before the beginning of the season.

Susac only played 26 games with Triple-A Omaha before spending the rest of the year on the Injured list with a broken left wrist.

Over 96 Major League games, Tilson has a .246 average with six double, one home run and 23 RBI with the Chicago White Sox.

Tilson Split the 2019 season between Chicago and Triple-A Charlotte.

He had 39 appearances in right, 19 in left and 14 in center last season with the Sox.
