Murphy spent one season at Pitt.  He averaged 7.6 points per game over 30 games.  He scored a season-high 28 points against Nicholls State in November.  His playing time decreased as the season went along.  Murphy also sustained a concussion in practice in late January and missed three games.

As a graduate transfer, Murphy will have one year of eligibility.  Prior to coming to Pitt, he played at Charlotte and New Mexico Junior College.
