Report: Pirates Managerial Search Down To Two

(93.7 The Fan) - According to a report, the Pirates have narrowed their manager search to two people.

According to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman, the Pirates are looking at Minnesota coach Derek Shelton and Tampa Bay coach Matt Quatraro.

Pirates appear to have narrowed the managerial search to Twins coach Derek Shelton and Rays coach Matt Quatraro. Decision could come this week.

The 49-year-old Shelton has been the Twins bench coach since 2017 and was the hitting coach for the Indians and Rays in the past.

The 46-year-old Quatraro served at bench coach for the Rays last season and was the assistant hitting coach for Cleveland from 2014-2017.
