According to reports the Steelers will open up the 2019 season in New England against the Patriots.
Nick Underhill, who covers the Patriots for The Athletic, says the Steelers and Super Bowl defending Pats will play the first Sunday night game of the season on September 8.

— Nick Underhill (@nick_underhill) April 17, 2019The defending Super Bowl champions usually play the first game of the season the Thursday before but because the NFL is celebrating its 100th anniversary, the leagues two oldest teams, the Green Bay Packers will travel to take on the Bearsin Chicago September 5.
The New York Daily News reports the Steelers will travel to MetLife Stadium to take on Le'Veon Bell and the Jets in week 16, the next to last week of the season.
The entire Steelers schedule will be released at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
