Sidney Crosby: Best Player Of The Decade

Crosby

(93.7 The Fan) As 2019 draws to a close, not only is it time for year recaps, but also recaps for the decade.

In the NHL there has been no better player from 2010-2019 than Penguins' center Sidney Crosby.

That is what most people would say, at least.

ESPN, The Hockey News, and multiple other outlets named Crosby the decade's best player.

He was a top line mainstay for many all decade teams.

Crosby's "golden goal" that won Canada the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver is featured in Wall Street Journal ad one of the top sports moments that defined the decade.

It is hard to ignore all of the accolades Crosby has picked up over the past 10 years, even while missing extended time for his concussion.

Back-to-back Stanley Cups Championships and Conn Smythe's as playoff MVP in 2016 and 2017, two Olympic gold medals in 2010 and 2014, a World Cup of Hockey championship in 2016, an NHL Hart Trophy for league MVP in 2014.

The list goes on; look for yourself if you have the time.

Along with the awards in and out of the NHL, he also recorded 296 goals and 492 assists for 788 points from the turn of the decade to the end.

Sidney Crosby has done some incredible things over the past 10 years and every honor is more than deserved, the 2010's were the Decade of Crosby.
