"I still think it was JuJu's MVP vote." Pittsburgh Insider Ed Bouchette told Poni & Mueller on Thursday about his take on the Antonio Brown drama that has captivated the city, and all football fans, over the past week and a half.
"Put yourself in Antonio Brown's shoes. You're the king. You're the man. You're the straw the stirs the drink. You lead the league with 15 touchdowns. You only got 2 few catches than JuJu. And the reason reason JuJu has so many catches is because of you.
I think he would have been okay if they would have voted Ben MVP. But they vote the other guy MVP.
I think it was such a blow to his ego and whatever else is going on inside him. That it set him off."
After missing the Steelers last regular season game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Bouchette told Poni & Mueller said the believes the Steelers didn't see this coming, and because of everything that has unfolded, it's time to part ways with AB.
"If they bring him back, shame on them…You don't need super stars everywhere. Tom Brady doesn't have them. His receivers have been interchangeable. Running backs, interchangeable. Who are Drew Brees' receivers? He's got one. I think with Juju and James Washington, the next guy you get, either through free agency or draft. You'll have a confident receiving core."
While Bouchette believes that the team will not cut Brown, he also thinks whatever happens next is a "big move." One, that will go down in history.
