Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell Tweets Out That He Is “Free At Last”

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - It looks like Le’Veon Bell got the exact birthday present he was hoping for this week.

On Wednesday, General Manager Kevin Colbert announced that the Pittsburgh Steelers will not put the franchise tag on running back Le’Veon Bell.

With this decision, Bell will now be an unrestricted free agent for 2019.

Bell, who celebrated his 27th birthday on Monday, tweeted out Wednesday the Martin Luther King Jr. quote, “Free at last, free at last, Thank God Almighty I am free at last.”

And while he doesn't directly reference the Steelers in the post, another tweet sent in response seems to have verified what he was referencing:
