(93.7 The Fan) - The man behind Super 70s Sports on Twitter has released a shirt that is sure to please Pirates fans who are also fond of early 80s comedies.
The inspiration from the shirt comes from Judge Reinhold's character Brad Hamilton, who worked at pirate-themed restaurant "Captain Hook Fish & Chips" in the 1982 movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High".Ricky Cobb who runs the twitter account that parodies and honors sports stars and pop culture icons of the past told The Fan where the idea came from.
"It was an idea I had to take the iconic Pirates logo and reimagine it through Brad Hamilton, one of my all-time favorite movie characters, in that goofy hat he wore at the fast food restaurant. Just mixing two things I love in a way that I thought was kinda special and honors both."
