We thought the Chicago Blackhawks acquired former Penguins goalie Marc Andre Fleury in a trade with the Vegas Golden Knights but maybe we were misled.
In a Twitter post, that has since been deleted, the Blackhawks posted a photo that included several jerseys with #29 being prominently displayed on the left of the photo.
There was one problem though, the jersey said Fluery.
Maybe the Blackhawks secretly acquired a player named Max Andy-Fluery, but most likely it's a typo from the equipment team.
The Blackhawks were obviously thrilled to get Fleury in a trade that only cost them a prospect but apparently they need to learn how to spell his name.
Fleury is a 3-time Stanley Cup Champion and a future Hall of Famer (he is also beloved in Pittsburgh), yet the man continues to be insulted, albeit unintentionally by his latest team.
Twitter responded in kind.
