The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi believes he can bowl a 300 game after he made a tweak to his game over the weekend.
Morning Show hosts Colin Dunlap and Chris Mack don’t believe that he can’t do it.
Dunlap is so confident that Poni is full of it, he’s putting up $10,000.
Poni has until January 1, 2025 to roll a perfect game or he owes Dunlap $100.
The following parameters need to be met:
A reliable witness needs to be present
It needs to be electronically scored
The 12 strikes need to be all in one game, he can’t bowl three frames and then start over.
Poni has a history of making what some would call outrageous claims. For example, Poni said he believes he could make a 40-yard field goal, but during the Pitt Blue-Gold Game, didn’t do so hot.
“You listen to your show, you make yourself out to be Jim Thorpe, get out of here,” said Dunlap.
But Poni believes he can do it, point out retired Pirates pitcher and broadcaster Steve Blass who had two hole-in-ones in one game.
It’s a lot easier for a bad golfer to get a hole-in-one than it is a bad bowler to get a [300 game] . . . you need to get lucky 12 times in a row.
“I’m putting 10,000 bucks up to only win 100, this is a terrible proposition for me, but just to take away some of his manhood,” said Dunlap.
