If you needed any more evidence to confirm that Freddie Freeman is just the greatest dude ever, look no further than a fan interaction from Tuesday night.
In a tie ballgame in the bottom of the ninth inning between the Braves and the Pirates, Freeman's mind was obviously focused on doing everything he could to help lead his team to a victory. However, he took a little bit of extra time to make a fan's day and give us a heartwarming clip that reminds us all why we look up to players like Freeman.

After a foul ball was sent into the stands, it ricocheted and hit a young fan. Though that's never the most fun moment at a ballpark, especially for a kid, Freeman made sure to brighten the young girl's day by handing over his batting gloves and making sure all was okay.
It seems like a monthly occurrence that Freeman is doing something that firmly entrenches him on the list of our favorite ballplayers, be it letting his son choose his walkup music or crashing Ronald Acuña's live stream with some funny comments... or just raking. Though he hasn't quite performed to the level of his 2020 MVP campaign, he's still finds himself near the top of a number of NL leaderboards, including home runs, runs and on-base percentage. He's been good enough to get named to the All-Star team for the third straight season. And if recent games are any indication — he's slashing .375/.450/.518 in his past 15 contests — his second half could bring him back to those MVP levels of production.
