PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Forward Teddy Blueger close to returning and forward Brandon Tanev recently back, the Pens sent down a couple of bottom six contributors.
Forwards Anthony Angello and Frederick Gaudreau placed on the Taxi Squad Sunday afternoon.
The 6'5" Angello appeared in 19 games with two goals and two assists and is a plus four on the season. The New York native has three points in the last five games.
The 27-year-old Gaudreau is working his way back to the NHL and had four points in nine games with the Pens this season. Gaudreau averaged over two minutes of shorthanded time and also had points in three of his last five games.
The Pens return to action Tuesday night at the Rangers.
