PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – For the first time in program history, the Pitt men's soccer team is number one in the nation.
The 4-0 Panthers have wins at number 5 Notre Dame, Syracuse in double overtime, Virginia Tech and number 5 Virginia.
Men's soccer is only the third program in Pitt history to reach number one. Men's basketball three times (last was February 23, 2009) and football 21 times (last November 1, 1982).
Panthers are at Louisville on Friday. Pitt beat the Cardinals in an exhibition game in September 5-0.
