
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – To stretch out the news value of a schedule release, the ACC announced starting times Thursday for four of the Panthers football games this year.
The season-opener at Heinz Field against UMass will kick at 4p on September 4 and be on the ACC Network. It will coincide with the return of the Heinz Field Kickoff and Rib Festival just outside the stadium.
The first game at Tennessee since 1983 will kick at Noon, September 11 on ESPN. The Vols are under first year head coach Josh Heupel. Panthers beat unbeaten and nationally ranked Central Florida, coached by Heupel, two years ago.
MAC school Western Michigan at Pitt on September 18 watch it on the Regional Sports Network starting at Noon. It’s the first ever meeting between the schools with an away game in Kalamazoo next year.
We knew the Thursday night home game with North Carolina would be a night game, officially a 7:30p kick on ESPN. It will be military appreciation day and the second to last home game of the season.
