PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Pitt's starting quarterback named a nominee for an off-field award as college football ramps up with ACC Media Days next week.
Eli Holstein will be one of the players eligible for the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. In his second season at Pitt, Holstein has taken part in hospital visits, school programs and various other charity events around Pittsburgh.
Last month, Holstein shaved his head at UPMC Children's Hospital to support of a 13-year-old who was a multi-organ transplant recipient. He wanted to show he was with Julia Espinosa as she lost most of her hair during treatment.
The Good Works Team will be announced as the season starts in September.
